Beginning students will learn the basics, including knowing their way around the various parts of the piano, learning the note names and reading basic melodies and rhythms from the staff. As the student progresses, more advanced topics are covered, including scales, modes, chords and their fingerings, music theory, harmonization and musical arrangement.
