Children's Chorus
The Academy Children's Chorus is comprised of a group of talented and auditioned children. Our voice specialist gives the students the opportunity to sing and have fun while developing vocal production, poise, and self-confidence for each child.
Each performance will include choreographed numbers. Seasonal performances provide opportunities to practice performance skills. Only 30 spots are available and rehearsals will begin the first Monday after Labor Day and the second Monday in January. Late registration is possible.
Ages: (2nd-6th Grade)
Rehearsals: Mondays 6:30-7:30pm
Tuition Rates: $250 per semester; $50 per month (5 equal monthly payments)
Instructors
Margot Hafner
Margot Hafner holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. In addition to teaching at Music Academy South, she is a music instructor with the West Oxford Elementary School in Granville County, NC. Mrs. Hafner is director of the West Oxford Chorus, a 60-member first grade choir, and has directed Little Theater and Children's Theater musicals in Granville County. Mrs. Hafner is a dedicated member of the Raleigh Piano Teachers Association and brings over thirty seven years of teaching experience to our studio! In addition to teaching piano and voice, Mrs. Hafner also teaches the Music Academy South Children's Chorus.
